Got all the pieces parts back into the steering nacelle and replaced the instrument panel. The first picture shows the lights working in the indicator cluster and the guts not hanging out all over the place. I even scored an extra bonus from the hulk: it had another plastic trim canoe that goes forward of the nacelle and neatens up the wiring bundles that the driver didn't have. All nice and tidy now. On to bigger problems.
