Bad news on the windshield

I heard bad news from the Stag discussion forum today. As I feared, the tabs showing on the outside of the windshield gasket (see 8/9 post) need to be under the rubber and against the glass in order to keep it in place. Guess I'll have to find a more experienced glass installer, and get a new gasket as well as re-installing the whole thing. Never easy with this car.
