Stag Sighting in Golden, Colorado

We spent the weekend in Golden Colorado at a family reunion (yes we visited the Coors brewery). On Sunday, we noticed alot of classic cars out and about and figured there must be a car show somewhere, but never found it. When passing a mid-70's Jaguar XJ-6, my wife commented that it looked kind of like a Stag. As I turned my head back from looking at the Jag, there was an actual Stag crossing the road on the opposite side! It was brown with a light brown ragtop. This was the first Stag I've seen on the road, other than mine, since the '08 Import car show in Carlisle. I would have chased it down and said hello, but traffic did not allow such a maneuver.

Back home, I wanted to take my Stag out to run some errands, but when I tried to close the boot (I keep it open to discourage rodents from nesting), the doohicky on the driver's side that I had recently bent back into position to help hold the trunk open suddenly went "sproing" and bent all out of shape, impinging on the boot lid and revealing some bondo there from a previous repair. Imagine how happy I was now that the boot lid could not be closed! I just walked away, and it'll be awhile before I can do anything with this latest problem b/c I'm away at work for a week. The fun never ends!
