Windshield update

I had my pickup's cracked windshield replaced today by Safelite's mobile service, and while the technician was here, I dragged him down to the garage to have a look at the Stag. He said it looked like the gasket I have is in good shape and it appears the chrome trim strips are all there. He was reluctant to attempt the replacement alone and in the field though. So, I'll add a trip to the glass shop to the necessary chores to complete before the car is driveable. And no, I do not want to try this myself. Glass is just too breakable!!!
