Got another tie rod puller and was finally able, by combining the two of them, to get enough of a wedge in there to seperate the ends with a solid whack from a hammer (see picture). Barked knuckles soundly getting the pinch bolt securing the steering shaft to the control valve off. Nice design! Almost no room in there for two adult hands and tools (picture). Removed pump and flexible hoses (face full of fluid). Out of time...
